The Palm Pre is Positioned for a great Future
Palm Pre The Palm Pre is positioned to be very success. Most people could care less about applications on a phone. There is a growing number of users that would add additional apps but most don't really care. Not that applications are not desired or useful, but there just hadn’t been a convenient way to get them on the phones before. This is changing, but is not a deal breaker for a phone purchase today.

Sprint and Palm Pre-pare for Launch on May 31
Palm Pre A lot of people are make PRE-dictions of when the Palm Pre will be launched by Sprint. Most have guessed that the launch day will be on a Sunday as Sprint is known to do.

Many PRE-dicted dates have come and gone without the PRE-miere of the device. Many are now indicating that Sprint will try to PRE-empt the release of Apple's new OS upgrade, version 3.0 and possible new device announcements at the Apple World Wide Developer conference in San Francisco for June 8-12th, 2009. So they think the release date will be Sunday, June 7, 2009. They are wrong.

Palm's Pre: Dead on Arrival? Maybe Pre-mature.
Palm Pre By Tim Beyers wrote an article at fool.com titled, "Palm's Pre: Dead on Arrival?" the other day. Be wrote that "A recent survey of 4,292 adult smartphone buyers by ChangeWave Research found that only 4% of respondents planned to buy the Pre in the next six months. By contrast, 37% planned to buy Research In Motion's (Nasdaq: RIMM) BlackBerry, and 30% planned to buy Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone."

Clearly most people (outside the media and fan sites) don't even know about the Pre yet and those who do don't know clearly how it will do. So this article is clearly a ploy to get readers to the site to generate more signups and readers to generate more income from the ads and such. Here is my response.

Foleo Clone to Release as the RedFly
Palm Foleo Mobile Companion Celio Corporation's REDFLY Smartphone Interface System Selected as CES Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Award Honoree. Apparently Celio Corp, like me, agreed that the "Folio Concept" has a market and that the Foleo makes sense. I was alarmed when Palm "cancel the Foleo mobile companion product in its current configuration" the release of the Foleo; am I delighted that Celio announced the RedFly? Well kinda, the RedFly does not have Wi-Fi, so it will eliminate some users and uses. Hopefully it will spark a renew interest from Palm to put the Foleo back on the market. I think the Foleo and the Redfly will have to support a wireless Internet device from carriers like Sprint and AT&T. This addition will open the product of to many users that want to stay connected but do not want to use their smartphone and are out of reach of a Wi-Fi hotspot. The RedFly will support the Palm Windows Mobile Treo, but do not currently support the Palm OS based Treos or Centros.
