How does it really work?
When I downloaded the application to my Treo 650 for Sprint, it
assigned itself to the side button. When I press and hold the button, I
get the following screen:
Once I let go of the button, the voice file is sent to the
Voicecommand server and analyzed. The data is sent back and the appropriate
command is issued. The product did everything it promised. The only problem I
saw was that the time required for the transfer and processing can take quite a
few seconds at times. I could create the task manually with one hand in the time
it takes to do the same, but with Voicecommand, it can be done safer than the
above if I was driving.
I got very accurate result when I stated "Chinese Food 48219",
even through the example given indicated that I should have said "Chinese
Food Detroit". Detroit is too big to just use a city, using a zip code is more
appropriate.
It is not perfect, I created an email.

To: carl@palmloyal.com This is a test to see how long a document from this can be. I'm turning
onto John Freedmont freeway[20 word limit reached]
----------------------------------------------
The only mistake it made during my rambling was writing "John C.
Lodge" as "John Freedmont" but that should be expected for a Proper name in any
speech recognition program. As you can see, it has a 20 word limit for the body
of an email.
I said "go to website Palmloyal.com" and it pulled it up without
a problem. It created an appointment. I wanted an "all day" appointment
but it placed it a 12noon. I was not able to add an alarm to it, but that is no
problem for me to add that later. It is missing the ability to create a memo or
task.
I like the product.
