Wyncs allows Individualized Website Content Delivery

Eros Technology has released Wyncs (pronouced winks) has developed a product that produces 'Sync-to-Outlook' or 'Sync-to-PDA' links and buttons for your Web Site. Wyncs appeals to web surfers who want to quickly obtained information from websites and have it for offline viewing. Many may remember Coola's content delivery system (www.coola.com) which used to allow you to sync content to your Palm device in "one click & and a sync". Wyncs looks to pickup where Coola left off.

Web Developers type in the information they want to be made syncable. The 'sync-link' code is generated for copy-and-paste into their Web Sites.
Standard Version: $39/year (created and sent thru Wyncs.com servers)
Professional: $99 (create and run thru YOUR servers)
PART (2) THE WINDOWS CLIENT SOFTWARE (Freeware).
The Web Site visitors side of Wyncs that instantly transfers the 'syncable info' to the visitors Outlook or Palm Desktop.
Note: This "Client Software" is NOT memory resident and sits idle until an actual Wyncs Icon (from a Web Site) is activated.
This service obviously can only work if websites signup for this service and start to provide their content for delivery. Coola closed up the shop last year for their service which was free to both PalmOS users and Website owners. Coola's delivery system empowered you to take web site content you wanted and
read it when you want to (offline). When you clicked on the icon the article was
sent your Coola account and waited for you to sync. When you sync'd your Palm,
the Coola sync application contacted its server and downloads your DOC, ToDo, Memopad,
Appointment or Contact info to your Palm device.
Wyncs offers a server-side service and the ability for website owners to use their own servers to produce the output formats. This appears to protect the website owners content delivery system even if Eros Technology pulls the plug on the Wyncs system in the future.
A lot of websites, including Palmloyal.com had to remove the Coola icons and
discontinue the service when Coola closed shop.
Copytalk has a similar service which allows 'Sync-to-Outlook' or 'Sync-to-PDA' for busy professionals - Pick up the phone and dictate email, ToDos, Memos, Appointments and Contacts and it syncs to your Desktop and/or PDA. This obviously appeals to individuals and business and not website owners and web surfers like the Wyncs product does.
